Antelope Island State Park

Antelope Island State Park is a rugged landscape surrounded by the waters of the Great Salt Lake. Known for its open grasslands, rocky hills, sandy beaches, and wide views of the Wasatch Mountains, the island offers a striking blend of desert scenery and natural beauty. It is also home to free-roaming bison, pronghorn, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and many species of birds.

The park is especially memorable at sunrise and sunset, when warm light spreads across the lake and distant mountains. Changing weather, reflective water, and dramatic skies make Antelope Island a favorite destination for hiking, wildlife viewing, and landscape photography throughout the year.
