Heber Valley

Heber Valley was first explored by Euro-American settlers in the mid-1800s during the westward expansion of pioneers. Drawn by its fertile land, abundant water, and protection beneath the Wasatch Mountains, settlers established the community of Heber City in 1859. Before their arrival, the valley was used seasonally by Native American tribes, including the Ute Tribe, who relied on its rich natural resources for hunting and travel. What began as a remote agricultural settlement gradually grew into a thriving valley known for its ranching heritage, scenic beauty, and access to the surrounding wilderness.
