T.A. Moulton Barn with Teton Alpenglow

Mormon Row (Grand Teton National Park)

The T.A. Moulton Barn, located on Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park, was built beginning in the 1910s by homesteader Thomas Alma Moulton, part of a Mormon farming community that settled the Jackson Hole valley in the late 1800s. Constructed over several decades using simple local materials, the barn was part of a working ranch where families endured harsh winters and short growing seasons. As the national park expanded in the mid-1900s, most homesteads disappeared, but the Moulton property was preserved, and today the barn stands as one of the most photographed symbols of the American West, representing both frontier resilience and the striking landscape of the Tetons.
