The Sinclair Gas Station in Elberta, Utah is a historic roadside landmark along U.S. Highway 6 that dates back to 1917. Originally built to serve miners in the nearby Tintic Mining District, it was later moved from the town of Dividend to Elberta as mining activity declined. The station remained in operation until around 1982, after which it was preserved rather than demolished. Today, it is no longer active but stands as one of Utah’s oldest surviving gas stations, known for its weathered wood structure and vintage character.
